Our business is digital-based, relying on data and technology to give it an edge as it competes with more traditional companies in the M&A space.
Our business has grown consistently across the last 2 to 3 years and we have continued to invest in technology to support the team and give us a competitive edge as well as a moat. We are now looking for a skilled data scientist to join the team to help us build for the future.
Unloq is seeking a motivated, organised, and efficient candidate to be responsible for helping us build out our systems for the future.
You should be commercially-minded and understand the value of systems for companies. As you get to know Unloq and the purpose of the technology we use, you should instinctively know the impact of decisions made to the technology and assess the impact of such changes.
You should have some programming skills and a detailed understanding of code, databases, APIs, AI and systems. However, we don’t expect you to write all the code or do everything yourself, we have relationships with trusted partners who can implement updates and new features.
Internally you will become the go-to person for technical guidance and deploying solutions. Familiarising yourself with what exists today and adapting and shaping our solutions for tomorrow.
You need to be a good communicator, finding it easy to explain in verbal and written form complex issues. You are probably a recent graduate, with a technical degree and/or background to make you a capable candidate. Good written English, a polite manner, good mathematical and organisational skills are also highly valued.
This is a busy role and is suitable for someone who likes challenge and autonomy. You will ideally possess the following skills:
Outstanding coordination and organisation – required for managing and coordinating multiple projects, skills and communication skills
Interpersonal – you’ll need to be charismatic but professional when talking with the team, leadership, partners and suppliers, being able to problem solve, but also listen to others and, at times, adapt your thinking
Literacy – you will be communicating with our customers, suppliers and installers via email, chat, video and in person, so an excellent standard of spoken and written English is vital
Commercial – you need a commercial mindset, it is vital that you understand the value of what you are overseeing and how it benefits Unloq as we continue to invest in growth
Computing & Systems – Unloq is a digitally transformed business, so everything is done online through web-based software and customer databases. So your purpose is to make sure that all the systems we use: CRM, GSuite, APIs, Data Suppliers, Integrations, Automations and AI all work and improve to benefit the company and those using the systems daily
This is a full time position. The role will suit someone looking for a dynamic company, using technology and modern communications to serve customers better. We hope the successful candidate will be able to enjoy the day to day work as well as carving out their future career.
Salary £32,000 O.T.E. depending on experience.
